SHEBELLA MATTHEWS

Singer/Songwriter Shebella Matthews was introduced to music at an early age as her father wrote a song with her name in it before she was even born. She later finds out that her father played for many bands such as P-fuck, The Parliament, Carlos Santana and a host of others. According to Shebella, “I want to restore real music, talent, emotion and originality back into the world. I believe that my purpose is to let my music bring peace and enjoyment to everyone.” Her influences come from a long list of artists but just to name a few: Lauryn Hill, Kanye West, Earth Wind and Fire, Sade, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, and Anita Baker. 

The music that comes from Shebella may initially want to described as R&B, Pop, Rock, neo-soul but there is no genre that can describe it. She is a genre all by herself. That’s what makes her and her music unique. Currently Shebella is working on her debut Album called “Unclassified” produced by Detroit’s own Grammy nominated, Brandon Williams of Soualasis Music Group; she lives by the statement “Music equals Life: with out it my life would have no meaning.”
